I think what most people are referring to is the dog that has been raised
with care, fed well, gone to handling classes and has done well in the
ring......and comes up with MVD prior to 2 1/2.    My comment to Deborah is
that she was fortunate that her breeders were willing to work with her in
regards to the dogs that did come up with early MVD.  I don't think that is
the norm unfortunately in Cavaliers.  I think that if Laura has these types
of written and communicated agreements about the dogs that she puts in show
homes, then she is to be commended for it.  Terry is right.........it
behooves the buyer to communicate with the person she is buying from in
regards to any situations that may come up.....hopefully not, but these are
animals and we do not have crystal balls.  Unfortunately, many breeders are
insulted if asked these kinds of questions.
