We used the concrete sealer that Home Depot carries.  They have a few
different colors available. Puppy accidents don't stain it or damage it.  I
think we did about 4 coats.  Overkill.  The reason we did that was that we
used it in our studio and our contractor thought that we should have some
texture and suggested adding silica sand to it.  Way to rough!  The extra
coats were an effort to smooth it out a bit.  The dogs spend tons of time in
there with us because we seem to "live" there and love to have the dogs
underfoot.  We haven't had it too long.  About two months or so but it's
washed at least every other day with a Hoover Floor Mate and holding up very
well.  It does take time to cure although it can be walked on quite soon.
You just can't put furniture on it until it's cured.
