Rhonda, I am not defending the breeder as I agree that there are too many different versions of what happened. However, I recently had a vet refuse to euthanize an elderly dog that had terminal cancer. She suffered greatly for several more months at home with us before passing away. This experience makes me less likely to accept a vet's decision at face value. I'd have to know the true facts about the situation--- the severity of the condition of the puppy, the prognosis of quality of life, etc.,--- before making any judgment about it. I'm just saddened that the whole situation happened and wonder how airing the dirty linen in public has helped the breed. All the best, Susan Cochran
