Myra, having grown up in the county right next to Murray County, with my relative still living there now, the article doesn't surprise me. It's your typical rural, farming community. It emcompasses one nice lake and a few very small towns. Most of the people that read it are either farmers or people who are still living in those small towns, which in general is older people. Most of them seem to view raising dogs similar to raising pigs or something. And compared to some of those pig facilities, I'm sure an easy to clean dog facility seems like a 4 star hotel. And to those who say that everyone starts out knowing nothing....even the lady we met at obedience last night who was going to get a "St. Charles Spaniel" knew about the man in Prior Lake, the puppy mill Irish Imports, and why you shouldn't buy from them! If you were serious about breeding, I have a hard time believing you didn't know what who this man was and to avoid him!
