Hi All Deafness or reduced hearing can be the result of a virus in humans it has happened to my Mom and to my daughter. They didn't get it from each other my Mom had it happen about 10 years before my daughter. My Mom lost some of her hearing but my daughter didn't - or at least she hears better than most even after having the virus.
Does anyone know if this can happen to dogs? Or are vets and breeders not looking for a cause other than genetics?
