Just get those baseboard vacuum things. All you do is *kick* them on once in a while and they suck up anything close by. Use Lynda's ceiling fan idea to get the hair into the corners! As for leather furniture, I had that 10 years ago. I did find it hot to sit on in the summer (no air conditioning here!) and the back of my legs stuck to it big time. I have also a couple of dogs who like to *scratch* just for fun. They just go into the corner of the couch and scratch for a couple of seconds. Have no idea why but it sure did make a mess of the leather--didn't rip it or anything, just made it look scratched up. Leather furniture is very expensive--not sure I would go that route again. I will have built-in furniture in my new house--I don't want to have to clean *under* or *around* anything!
