The shelter in our town has a long list, too, that is not up to date or correct. I tried to call Dalmation rescue and Bassett Hound rescue one time from the #'s on their list, and the Bassett Hound # was incorrect. The Dalmation person told me he would come the next day (to my house) to see the Dalmation and never showed up. I noticed that the same person for Bassett Hound was listed under several different breeds, so obviously none of those breeds had the correct person either. I would assume that many of the other contacts were incorrect as well. I do know that one of the shelters in our town does call Rescue if you keep in touch with them. My neighbor does Springer rescue, and they have called her several different times.
