Read the Code of Ethics. It's in every yearbook. Section IIA3. "If I decide to breed a litter, I will breed only cavaliers registered with OR ELIGIBLE for registration with the CKCSC."
Imported dogs are eligible as long as they aren't owned by a suspended person or otherwise restricted, or known to you to have inheritable, disqualifying, disabling or potentially disabling defect. There can't be an ethics violation if the breeding doesn't violate the written Code of Ethics. Nowhere in the Code of Ethics does it say that a "member absolutely could not breed their dog or bitch to an AKC-ONLY dog or bitch", only that they must be ELIGIBLE for registration with the CKCSC.
