Hi, Jo Ann,
Somewhere (don't remember the sources now), I also saw some studies that
indicated that short cycling indicated the beginnings of difficulty and
that if one's bitch short cycles it would be prudent to breed her as
soon as possible. Has this been your experience over time? I would also
like to hear from any other breeders on this subject. The bitch we have
who did get pyo began short cycling and while I was not able to breed
her at the time, I wish I had so done now.
