I feel this is highly unlikely as the semen is evaluated before being sent.
No one is going to send a *poor* sample knowing the bitch is unlikely to get
pregnant! The ones I've done have come with the semen evaluation form.

I use Dr. Hutchison's office which is one of the best in the country. They
have a higher rate of conception with chilled than with natural and slightly
more puppies per litter with chilled than with natural--over all breeds.
However they have had few successes with Cavaliers--in fact maybe only one
so far. They do it the same way for all. I can't help but wonder if
something isn't different with Cavaliers.

I have progesterone tested many, many bitches over 5 years. I have yet to
see many strange numbers from the lab results. The numbers seem dead on,
progress very nicely and with natural breedings done after the bitches hit
*5* virtually always result in pregnancy. The few bitches who had weird
readings or did not get pregnant nearly always turned out to have a problem
of some sort and either never got pregnant or took some *work* to get
pregnant.
