My vet uses Propofol on our Cavaliers you have heart murmurs or any other
issues. They also used this on our greyhounds - they do not use
Thiopental. They do use telazol for everyone else. Because most of our
Cavaliers do have some sort of heart issues propofol is all that they use.

When Jelly Bean had to have her eye removed at close to 14 years old, we
were very concerned that this would be a touch and go procedure. This of
course was not optional surgery. She came thorugh fine and lived for
almost a whole year after that. He used propofol on her and recently on
Jason our 9 year old.

I hope that this helps.
