My vet uses Iso for run of the mill procedures on healthy dogs but
sevoflurane is recomended for sections, heart compromised, older etc. dogs.
They do charge significantly more for this but it's well worth the price.  I
remember when Iso was much more expensive than the standard anesthetic too.
I was told that it was because it couldn't be run through the same
equipment.  I don't think that's the case with sevo though.  Probably just
high because it's a newer product.
