Barb, I do not recall that the cost is that high. For a neutering I spent $112 and that included the propofol (plus I get a mulitple pet/breeder discount so it was even less). I recall that it is about $60 for the anesthesia. Can it be location driven? I am in CT and my vet is in Avon, not an inexpensive area to live in.
