Hi Berta,
I have been feeding what I call a "modified raw diet" for about four years
now and have noticed a significant improvement in the overall health of my
dogs.I originally embarked on a natural and raw foods diet due to the severe
allergies that one of my girls, Brittany, was suffering from and wanted to
avoid the use of prednisone which was being advised by my vet.

Brittany ,in particular, has benefited the most from changing to a diet of
mostly raw chicken and veggies. Prior my changing the way I feed, Brittany
suffered from a multitude of problems, all of which must have been at least
partly diet related. She suffered something fierce from allergies. She had
itchy skin and feet and often chewed herself to the point where she was left
with horrible skin lesions.

My vet was thinking we should try steroids, which is actually what prompted
me to try a raw diet in a last ditch effort to avoid the use of cortisone.
Within two months time I saw a remarkable improvement in Brittany's skin.
Her itching had lessoned to a significant degree, her skin was free of
redness and sores and she had all but stopped chewing her feet. In
Brittany's case changing her to a natural and raw foods diet seems to have
done the trick relieving her symptoms. I feed a combination of raw meats,
pureed vegetables (including garlic)and Canidae holistic kibble
(http://www.canidae.com).

All the best,
Susan V.
