Well, both parents are black & tans. I have more colour information on the grandmother's side, and her father was a ruby, mother black & tan. There is a line of tris and blenheims from the greatgrandmother back. So I guess she *could* carry the particolour gene then. I've asked before about some of the unknown pedigree, got names, but not colours and wonder how to go about getting the colours? I hit an absolute brick wall with one name and have concerns about it *because* no one knows. >From what I do know though, it seems to be pretty much wholecolour. I think I'll go ahead with the *intended* boy anyway and see what happens. He complements her very well in all ways, so I'm not going to be uptight about crossing the colour line!
