Hi, Peggy,
I've got two girls here who LOVE to dig under and go rabbiting. We
also have chain link (surrounded by stockade), and they have managed to
get under both. So, we got some patio block (12"x12"cement block
squares; heavy) and lined the perimeter of the pens with it. It did
take some serious work, but now when they dig they mostly trim their
nails so that I don't have to do it. <G> Yes, there is one who can lift
the block (seriously ambitious) but she can't do it fast; we almost
always see it happening as it take a good deal of time to move those things.

You have to set the patio block right up against the inside of the fence
to make it effective. You can use it as a surface for the whole area
(we do; and like it) or you can just line a perimenter with it.
Sometimes it comes in colors; ours is a brick red. I've seen plain
cement color as well as a slate blue.

I know how you feel; had that heart-in-mouth experience a couple of
times before I decided the hard work was worth every pain!

Best,

Suze
