You are right. Arthritis is simply an inflammation of a joint-- it can be
any joint from vertebrae to pinkie. A dog can have arthritis in other parts
of the body without having HD. However, there is no HD without arthritis and
that is what I was pointing out. Arthritis of the hip joint IS hip
dysplasia.
