I'm really happy with Shaw. Both Business and Home. They change their IP
addressing ranges about every year or so, and it's usually about 3-4 days of
ugliness, but once it's complete, things are great again. They just went
through it about a week or two ago. (Moving from 24.x.x.x to 68.x.x.x).
Businesses (Static IP addresses) don't seem to be affected much by this, but
lower end connections can be flaky for a bit... I've never regretted
suggesting Shaw, so I've never tried anything else.

I've heard really good things about Nucleus. Even for one person running a
Linux server. He said the techs eyes glazed over when he asked about BGP,
but that's forgiveable for a SOHO tech support person. Most people don't
really want to run BGP out of their house. If someone wanted DSL instead of
Cable, I'd recommend Nucleus based on what I've been told by people I trust.
I have no personal experience though.

I've never heard anything good about Telus. Not on this list, and not in
meatspace either. I'd suggest Satellite or bonded 56K modems :) . Having
heard repeated complaints, even from business users, I wouldn't advise this
provider. Again, no personal experience on the data side with anything
smaller than a partial T1.

Kev.
