I doubt most ISPs want you to use BGP. You are behind their BGP routers in the first place so they would have to change their routing for you, otherwise BGP routing will only benefit you on their network and not the internet as a whole. I understand if you pay TAC enough per month they will allow you to handle your own BGP routing. Of course BGP routing is only going to be an advantage to you if you have multiple internet providers. Also I guess this is Calgary, Interbaun isn't an option. ADSL is much cheaper for a business (hosting with static IPs) account than Shaw. Shaw charges an arm and a leg and isn't much cheaper than the monitored ADSL services from AT&T and TAC. Nucleus will give you like 8 static IPs for $79.95 per month. BTW, I have heard shaw is much better than they use to be but their still support sucks. I remember that my connection in calgary would go down for extended periods weekly and the mail (albeit @home run) was always messed up. -- Mark Lane Hard Data Ltd. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Telephone: 01-780-456-9771 FAX: 01-780-456-9772 11060 - 166 Avenue Edmonton, AB, Canada T5X 1Y3 http://www.harddata.com/ --> Ask me about our Affordable Alpha Systems! <--
