Is anyone saving the BIOS chips from the old computers? Does anyone know the people at CRS? http://www.telusplanet.net/public/reboot/index.htm
And could you ask them?

Before you trash your old computer look at the BIOS chip. If the BIOS chip has a small window under the sticker we need it. These chips can be reprogrammed and used to make disk-less XTerminals. I don't know about i186 or i286 but most i386 and up have these chips.

Many LUGers know all about this but for the ones that do not here is some information.
This page explains what we are looking for.

And this page show how to reprogram them

And here is a picture of what we want to do with it. Make computers that boot from the network and don't need any hard drives or floppy drives. This NIC has a BIOS chip reprogramed on it.
