Realplayer gives you a number of audio options. Inside RealPlayer go to
View/Preferences and then click on the Performance tab. Clicking on the
sound card compatibility settings button will give you some extra
options to play with, but the most important ones are under Audio Driver
Options. Try using native and OSS drivers to see if either works. If not
you can try launching ESD (the Gnome sound daemon) and use the ESound
support options. I have had the same problem that you are dealing with
before, and usually playing with these settings will fix it.
