Hi all,

I was able to get some tech stuff under the tree this year, and I also
used boxing day to purchase some additional upgrades for my computer. I
upgraded the processor to an AMD Athalon 2100+, I upgraded the video
card to an Asus GeForce 4 MX440-SE, and I added a 120GB hard drive and
installed Mandrake 9.0 on it. Everything is great so far, but I
installed it on the 27th, and the thing must have crashed about 20 times
since then. I'm not sure what is causing the crashes but I remember
awhile back Dan said that the latest NVidia drivers were causing his box
to lock hard. This is the same thing that is happening to me, when it
locks I cannot even ssh into it, I need to hard reboot it. I tried going
back 2 revisions of the NVidia drivers and nothing has helped. I just
let my machine run for a couple of hours running glxgears, and of course
it locked on me, but I was able to capture the output of
/var/log/messages and /var/log/XFree86.0.log. I have attached the
output, I am hoping that someone on this list will have a better idea of
what is going on than I do. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.

Thank you,

Jesse
