My thoughts on the topic...

First, I appreciate being "kept in the loop" - this shows some good
leadership... (er, how many brownie points for that one?)

Second, I think SAIT should have an opportunity to counter offer, but if they
don't respond in a timely manner they will have effectively said we aren't
worthy of a counter offer / decision. Do they know we have an opportunity to
meet elsewhere? Do they view the group as a good PR type thing, or a
necessary evil to keep students/instructors happy and/or utilize otherwise
dead space? Basically, do they feel they get something in return? If not,
then I don't think we'll ever have a stable situation with them.

Third, Is DeVry talking about a permanent arrangement? Will we need to go
through this again in a few months or a year? What happens if we out-grow
the room they are offering? We've been pushing 70 or so people at some of
the meetings lately - I don't think it'd be a big push to grow over 100
people. Do they have other rooms available?

As for location, DeVry or SAIT are both easy to get too. (There are a number
of buses that run from the Franklin or Marlborough c-train stations that
service a good chuck of the NE/SE areas around there. Both stations are
within walking distance of DeVry).

I don't envy the choice the executive has to make, but trust they will make
the choice that is best for the group.

Thanks for keeping us informed Jarrod.
