We will take this under advisement. > is it time to put the monolithic presentation to bed, excepting exceptional > circumstances where we get Big Names in or what-have-you, and instead > design around a more fluid, socially-driven style? Thank you for your zeal in this matter Aaron. The Executive will decide what is put to bed and when. I have already stated that we are discussing this. We have heard your comments and we are in deliberations over them and all the comments that other people have made. This kind of statement is counter-productive and quashes anyone else out there who may think that big presentations are a good idea. We have not heard from the majority of this group so your comment is a little premature. > would it be possible to get 3-5 people for each meeting who would be able > to look after an "area" so that there is interesting things to do and some > topical structure? this would also help ease the board's responsibilities > as it would distribute the planning. We will make the call for volunteers for whatever we feel we need. At this point it is still very much part of the Board's responsibilities to plan and execute meetings. I apologize if this sounds terse, I'm just getting a bad vibe on this... - -- Jarrod Major GPG Fingerprint: FA4A 1EA3 A0EE A842 07BB 804C 0090 14F6 BE6E DE3D CLUG President Registered Linux User: #224211 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iQCVAwUBQYvlfQCQFPa+bt49AQJtrAP/S1Al0d+EL44M0ORtvXBPF/WR+YjNFskm LAAp9WUapNwC+5ZP+W1UD5Q8HuPljipCcgXHvva3NftauE6N36pO73NPfETIcSvA L6pr5HBSoVAMHbOdw/vkBP7wGKGV+Zk46yk7Abq0f4qgk6A1Hcnw+TSHaimK4Htn F238PwziXoo= =0Y7j -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
