ubuntu-server (a Debian based server oriented distro which is pretty standard) or FreeBSD (a BSD based server oriented distro.. kinda, and its not Linux so it gives more .. diversity) "is it for your desktop?" ubuntu-desktop or (other desktop distro) 2 distros for each demographic. just an idea.
