For the most part I agree with Simon on the above. Obviously if we can
offer a professional disk over a DIY that is always preferred as they
have been tested and should be bug or error free and of course deadlines
for new releases can be a pain.

If we are only sticking to a few distros could we maybe adapt Simons
idea of a leaflet. Have a generic one listing most distros, etc, but
maybe have a little bio for each distro we are offering and some brief
instructsion for common thinsg like updating, upgrading to latest
distro.. or even whee new release are...I am sur eyou get the idea.

About the multi-boot DVD I know Linux Format does stuff like that and
uses a product called multi boot manager or something like that? Maybe
they could be contacted and asked how they set that up... I think that
would be an awsome idea... have an ubuntu DVD with the various
derivatives....suse...etc. Maybe even a Mac dvd...

If we are allowing people to "order" a distro..is there a way that LCUG
can look into being a reseller or accept donations or something like
that to recoup costs. We could take some of that funding and donate it
to various FLOSS projects. I know we arent trying to run a
multi-million dollar business, but I would be more willing to a buy a
distro from CLUG or encourage others if I knew that it was not only
helping us evolve as an organization, but that we were also giving back
to the community at large.

Just...puttin it out there!
