-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, To throw my $0.02 into the pot....
1) I agree a table of disks can be intimidating, time consuming and wasteful. 2) Most of us use an Ubuntu variant, therefore that makes sense to offer. Ubuntu can go Kubuntu/Xubuntu with a single command. 3) Expected release date for Gutsy is 18th. There is a possiblity that it will be delayed past CosFest. 4) Professional disks look at lot better than DIY disks, this will not be possible with Gutsy due to schedule. 5) Given the amount of time to burn a CD these days we could do other distros 'on demand'. 6) Is it 'right' to offer one distro over any other. Prehaps we should include a leaflet explaining the various distrobutions and download details for other, maybe going as far as CLUG phone number where people can 'order' other distros. Does anyone know if there is a multi-boot DVD containing many distribution images? My suggestion would be to burn a stack of Ubuntu Gutsy, and take it from there. Simon. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHBSY5wKmfLVdeh4MRAs2uAJ94ultsM7/tT954hNAWU5QXPsMDvgCggY/m vKkqNVwidBuPReOONVs7Uek= =IFgQ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
