lol...yeah, I suppose so. I have enough, too, to outfit a small stage band (a piano, synth, guitar, trumpet, sax, and now Linux :) > I would consider unloading one of them, since I am using neither at the > moment :) Kewl, how much would you be asking for it? On a related note...I may just have to look at installing 64studio or rolling my own low-latency kernel. I seem to have everything working at the moment but can't seem to find a setting in qjackctl that doesn't have little pauses, stumbles, and distortions in the audio. Even when running the whole setup as root (qjackctl, zynaddsubfx, lmms) I still get the odd xrun error. I read though some of the setup guidelines here: http://esaracco.free.fr/documentations/linuxaudio/linuxaudio/index.html and tried to do: setpci -v -s 00:1e.2 latency_timer=ff but I still have a latency value of 0 on my audio device: 00:1e.2 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 04) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Unknown device 3081 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16 I/O ports at 1c00 [size=256] I/O ports at 18c0 [size=64] Memory at b0040800 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512] Memory at b0040400 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2 -- Peter Pankonin, digitalcrucible There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary, and those who don't. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
