Just to be clear the things I was referring with the above comment was
examples regarding "End Times" stuff...sorry if that wasn't clear.
Now if you are saying that examples like that have existed throughout
history....yes...true...but never moreso than in today's society. Yes
I'm expressing my own thoughts here. Nothing I say below represents
CLUG in any official capacity. Though I think others may share my opinion.
What I was trying to politely say is that this train of thought is off
topic for this list. While I can view the source code for all religions
I know of, I am not allowed to change it (copyright, public outcry,
shunning, stoning, persecution, etc.). Therefore religion is not open
source. So, general religious discussions should probably be taken
off-list. If there is a connection to open source or technology here, I
apologize for missing it.
I'd be happy to discuss religion with you over a beer sometime. But my
religious views are one of those categories I consider private, and do
not wish to discuss them on a forum as public as this.
if it happened tomorrow...I certainly wouldn't be as surprised than if
it happened on this same date 500 years ago.
If the world ended 500 years ago, we wouldn't be having this discussion. :)
