I'm a little surprised at the amount of popular uprising against this legislation, given that the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act on New years Eve, which allows for the indefinite detention of American citizens, passed without much outrage at all. The USA is now one giant Guantanamo Bay and I'm sure visitors to the USA could get the same or worse treatment without any due process based on the whims of the powers that be.
