I work in a 24 bed hospital-based SNF w/15-20 admissions/discharges per
week. We are totally computerized and print the forms for signing/filing
purposes only. We have not had the option of using the MPAF so far due to
software issues. We recently had a software upgrade and now have the option
available to do these on the computer. However, we can't print the MPAF
form. From what I read on the form requirements, it doesn't appear it is
allowed to print the MPAF answers on the MDS "long" form. We were told that
the vendor our software company uses for the form printing (ELF) has not yet
developed the form for the MPAF. Is anyone out there printing the MPAF from
their computer software, or is everyone doing this by hand on paper forms?
If anyone could give me some info on this, I would greatly appreciate it. I
would love to use the MPAF, but I want to do it right. Thanks in advance
for any assistance.
