Greetings Everyone, I hope this email finds everyone
doing ok. If everyone will remember from my last post,
my oncologist was "supposedly" trying to get me in the
BMS trial in Houston...well he had his nurse call me
last week and said that I did not qualify for the
trial. I am having much difficulty believing this
because from what I read about it, I meet all
criteria. The nurse asked me to call the doctor on
Tuesday so we could discuss my "plan". I haven't
called as this doctor is leaving this practice on Feb.
15th and I have an appointment with a different
oncologist Feb. 26th. Whatever there is to discuss, I
will discuss with him on that day. I am so
disappointed to be told I didn't qualify so I am going
to try to pursue it on mine own...what choice do I
have here? I'm also looking forward to seeing this new
doctor, hoping he will shed some light on my situation
as I certainly didn't get any from the previous
doctor. The trial is coming to my area, supposedly,
not written in stone I was told but it could be months
and the way my doctor talked I didn't have time to
wait for it to get here. Anyway, I am finally
tolerating the 800mg some better and I feel some
better. I hope it shows it on my next blood work, PCR
tests, in the mean time, I just continue to be frantic
with worry. I will post again when I have something to
post....in the mean time I am keeping up with everyone
else's progress daily and praying for us all. Love,
