I'm always glad to share what knowledge I have with someone else.  The recommended minimum dose of Gleevec is 400mg.  that's why the doctor is keeping your son on that amount.  I was put on Gleevec in 2001 at that dose and am in remission and still on that amount!   The other thing you mentioned is your faith.  Just as with other things in life, at times ones faith is what carries them past troubled time such as these!  Hang tough and try to find a support group where you live and go there.  It really helps when you are first dx'ed.  That's what my wife and I did when I got the news.  You can learn a lot from the ones that have been there for awhile!   My best to you and your son,   Jim Rodeghier dx-1997 total remission- 2002      New!
