Hello Daniel, Just a short note in regards to your opinion of the Canadian health plan. I am a Canadian living in Ontario, and have never had a problem with our health care system. Having CML is the second cancer that I have had over my 50 yrs. The first was bone cancer when I was 15 yrs old. The service then was very fast....same day at my Doctor, Surgeon, and admitted to hospital. Treatment was fast and good (still here to prove it). Oct /09 dx'ed with CLM, also fast appt's and treatment, within a few days to specialist. Everytime I've needed medical care, it was there without a wait!
Only can only speak for myself and the people around me, but when someone needs medical care in a hurry, it is there for them. There are always cases where the ball gets dropped, but that happens in every country, even the USA. So please don't believe everything you read about the terrible system in Canada, because thats just not the case. Hope this gives you another idea of the health care in Canada. Enjoy your day.
