Sorry to hear about you having to have the transfusions. You are describing the problem that I had with Gleevec. I would get the transfusion, recover until my hemoglobin was between 10 and 11, restart Gleevec and the cycle would repeat itself. Read the directions on taking iron. If you take too much it has some really unpleasant side effects. (This is a tested and proven fact. Some people have experience things first hand.) 18's.
