Add the following to your list. Also note that the sport boat designator in NSYA (now Sail NS) is in the base boat list available as a download Columbia 30 Sport J/70 ODR Viper 830 Mike From: CnC-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ken Heaton Sent: Saturday, March 08, 2014 1:31 PM To: Gary Nylander Cc: cnc-list Subject: Re: Stus-List Kirby 25 verses C&C 37R Yes, we have at least one J/70 racing in the province (there is only one listed in the PHRF-NS database) and it must fit the parameters to be classed as a sport boat. It raced in Race the Cape 2013 last year and did well. Race the Cape 2014 expects to have a Sport Boat Division this year so if they return they should be grouped with those. I hate when they put planing boats in with our division, but that's PHRF. Melges 20, Melges 24, but the most impressive thing was an all carbon Viper 640 that even led the fleet to the windward mark in 4 knot wind and gained a little on each leg, especially downwind.
