I don't mean to start a big discussion about why this software doesn't
get any love anymore. I simply think the world has moved on. I myself am
no longer very interested in "web mapping" or "web mapping frameworks"
as ZCO aspired to be in 2003.

This software could be preserved as is, in the form of a compressed SVN
dump, for transfer to any new home or for study by future historians.
The zgeo.* packages, Shapely, GeoJSON, etc would remain active, though I
must admit that the appeal of migrating to GitHub or Launchpad grows on me.
