Stephanie, You can see both videos "side by side" in the Matterhorn player because it is specifically designed to play to videos simultaneously. I mean, what you are seeing is not a composition with the videos from the camera and the slides, but two actual videos played in sync.
Even though you publish both videos in iTunes or you send them to Youtube, you'll only be able to play one at a time, because neither Youtube player nor Quicktime/iTunes are designed to play two separate videos at the same time. The only way to accomplish that is to merge both videos in a single composition. Then you will have the two streams, side-by-side (or picture-in-picture, or as you prefer) in the same single video, which you can watch in any ordinary, single-video player. However you will not be able to change the layout of the video composed in that way, while the Matterhorn player can move the two videos around in different positions, at any time. In Teltek, we have developed a "sidebyside" tool that does that side-by-side composition, and it also adds an short intro presentation and branding (like a "logo bug" in a corner of the image). You can see some examples in http://www.youtube.com/user/CampusdoMar . We have started the work to implement such operation in Matterhorn, too, and we are hoping to be able to offer a working prototype by the 1.5 release.
