> tyler ...google for "skeleton duo" And also google for "Rare Color Classic Prototype" (how'd you figure that skeleton duo thing anyways, tyler? - I'd 'a never thunk of it). This has been listed once previous on eBay (a couple of years ago or so) ...it does say "relisted".
What's about all the other items on this site? - http://www.theapplecollection.com/design/macproto/NeonColorClassic.html ...the mystery/hoax? deepens. And maybe my skepto-meter is rising ...but 1. you gotta figure $12K USD minimum, and likely *much* more, given the size of the mold, which would argue against it being a relatively recent hoax, let alone a renumerative one ...and, 2. if it was a take-off of the original molds - kipped somehow, which seems unlikely-but-is-at-least-plausible (and what I think pickle was suggesting) - then even if it wasn't an "engineering sample", it would still be arguably "genuine", being as close as you could get to "real Apple". I mean, no one would argue that an underground distribution of a tape of a live Springsteen performance at some club wasn't "real", even if selling that tape wasn't exactly a legally or morally kosher thing to do, would they? ;o) ------- Brandon -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
