That's the exact same thing as what's currently listed, and the Apple
Collection makes no claims whatsoever to its veracity - they just say
"look, here's something that we found on eBay that looks neat."

I'd believe that except I've seen photos of the Skeleton Duo that Tyler is
talking about, and that guy definitely did his own moulding for a lot less
than that.

But offering it as a "prototype," which is certainly wouldn't be if this is
indeed how it came into being, is fraud nonetheless, just as offering a
bootleg album for sale is illegal for other reasons.

Again, I don't doubt the authenticity of the clear portion of the case;
it's the green front panel and mobo cover that I'm skeptical of. The clear
CCs definitely *do* exist, but only as entirely clear pieces.

My guess is that someone managed to get a hold of two or three of these,
made up some new front and back panels, and decided they would see how much
*more* money they could get by claiming it's an even rarer variety of the
"typical" clear-case prototypes.

Keep in mind that the last clear-case SE to be sold publicly made something
like $14K, and I would expect a clear-case CC could fetch as much as $20K
in the right environment (not eBay; people are too stingy and the proper
audience isn't in attendance).
