Hi Darren, I think I will try a new ethernet cable, the cable is a crossover BTW and the router does accept these but maybe not the daynaport. I will also try a clean install of system software as I have no floppy drive I will have to borrow my old machine back (a performa 5200) from my daughters so that I can download and make floppies. I will let you know how I get on. This is more interesting and difficult than I first thought.
