I don't have very much experience on Mac networking, but I think here my Windoze
knowledge can help.

In my experience, if you aren't going to use Micro$oft products (or even if you
are going to), it's easier to use a third-party proxy server and set up static IPs
in the LAN. I allways recommend ProxyPlus (http://www.proxyplus.net/). It's small,
easy to set up, powerfull, fully configurable via web, and free for non-corporate
use.
