Yes, 800 Kb disks *will* do the job. 400 Kb disks are really one-sided 800 Kb
disks, so you can take an 800 Kb disk and format it at 400 Kb. The drive will
leave blank one side, and the disk will work with earlier drives without
problem.

If you take some care, you can make its life longer. When not in use, store them
in a dry place, as far as you can from magnetic fields (CRTs,
thransformers/power supplies, speakers, magnets, engines, mobile phones...).
When in use, do not write at them: the diskettes' magnetic surface allows only a
limited number of writes, and writting to it degrades its quality and reability.
To make sure you don't write to them accidentally, write-protect them opening
the write-protect window.

Anyway, keep in mind that they aren't going to last forever, so, sadly, a time
will arrive in the future when we will not be able to use our beloved 128s, 512s
and Pluses... :-(
