I'm a huge fan of silent computing, and I spend a lot of time running compact Macs from floppies. I also have a silent LC and IIsi (disabled fans), but my favorite and most used computer is my 512K with dual 400K floppy drives. Seriously, I use a Plus to do any real work, but I love my 512K just because of the nostalgia of the unique sounds the 400K drives make.
You can also run a IIsi with the fan disabled? That sounds really interesting.
Anyone know where I can get the original Laserwriter driver? I'd like to try printing from the 512K to my 16/600, but the 6.0.8 Laserwriter driver is too large to put on a 400K floppy and still have room for a System and Finder. I'm thinking the older version my be smaller.
That printer wont' work with older version of the laserwriter driver.
