I was wondering if someone could help me fix an annoyance I have. I would like to set it up so that when I enter an internet website I don't have to enter the www before it. I used to have DSL with att on another computer with xp and when I got it they told me I shouldn't have to enter the www. that it should be set up to just go to the website without it. It worked and I didn't have to enter the www. Now I have DSL with Earthlink with a different computer, but a tad newer still with windows xp and I have to enter the www beforehand so I'd like to know if there is a setting or a patch to download or something so that I don't have to enter the www before the domain. I asked Tim Fisher on About.com/PC Support, but he only knew of a shortcut where you type the keyword say google and then hit ctrl+enter and it will take you there. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm looking for something on the permanent side. If anyone knows of something please let me know.
