So should I uninstall my printer and then reinstall it. I don't want to lose
my printer over this issue. I'll try the Mozilla Firefox because my prev
computer had that installed. In fact I have a restored folder transferred to
my new computer, but just haven't put it anywhere yet. I'll try clicking on
that to see if it will install, but if not will install Firefox again.

There was a website I found where a user explained the same problem you were
having, their fix was to uninstall their HP printing software (they had
installed from a CD) and then the internet explorer options were fixed.

As far as the reg goes your internet explorer should be resolving the
websites correctly.

Another thing we can try, since I am taking you through 10 loops, is to
download Mozilla Firefox, free download from http://www.download.com

try to enter some websites in that browser and see if you have the same
issue, if it works then your IE would have a problem, if it doesn't work
then it would either be a system wide issue or your internet service.
