What kind of camera?
Konica-Minolta cameras. I have both their 7D and their 5D. Konica-Minolta decided to cease camera production about a year ago. After all those many years of making really great cameras, both film and then a couple of digital SLRs, the company determined that they could not effectively compete with the high dollar marketing capabilities of Canon and Nikon in the professional level digital SLR field. K-M continues to manufacture other types of digital imaging devices, especially in the medical field.
Konica-Minolta had no interest in manufacturing the typical consumer level, point and shoot type cameras which are the bread and butter of the digital camera industry, including Canon and Nikon. So, with only a couple of cameras in their line-up, K-M just could not muster up enough name recognition and market penetration to be able to do battle with the big boys and their dozens of camera models. They also didn't hire camera experts to work for them such as Maria Sharapova, Anna Kournikova, Carmen Electra and Andre Agassi.
