Well the gentleman at the Boston Tea Party certainly thought so, and there was a rebellion (Called a revolutionary war) fought over that concept.
It's not patriotic to pay taxes to a government in which you have no representation. Wait a minute, I live in DC. OK, DC is a Federal District that was specifically designed to be a neutral ground. I can accept paying DC taxes, which are among the highest in the US, but why do I have to pay Federal taxes?
