I don't know which version you got, but the ones I had seen will not fit into
the Mac, so I can't figure out what it is you really are trying to do.

The WD My Passport drive is new--got it last week on Black Friday. It
was cheaper than buying a bare drive.

I'd like to know if it's any good before voiding my warranty by opening
the enclosure. Actually, I could register the drive's S/N instead of the
enclosure's S/N and still maintain the warranty for the drive only.

Is a WD notebook drive any good, or should I consider another mfg?
