True. The fault of a bad supplier. The computer in question would not always fail to boot, only some of the time. But, from what I was told, it would always run in a very anemic fashion and be prone to crashes. All I know is that the "geek squad" that worked on it said it had insufficient RAM to handle Vista that was factory installed. The computer is now apparently running okay, so I guess the lack of RAM was the problem.
